AIMEE BROOKS
DIRECTOR, PRODUCER
Aimee Brooks is an independent filmmaker, writer, podcaster and media contributor. She started in the entertainment industry as an actress, and had a successful career in TV and film, working with Hollywood elite such as Mel Gibson, Tobey Maguire, Jennifer Aniston and Leonardo DiCaprio. Being a working Actor for over 20 years has proved an asset to her as a director, giving her a unique perspective and awareness for both sides of the camera. She worked on numerous horror films and developed an affinity for the genre.
She co-founded La Fond Films and La Fond Media with Rick La Fond, her producing partner, where they are currently developing and producing several feature films, documentaries and docu-series. Aimee is currently directing the documentary The Monte Cristo Homestead and the ongoing documentary series Teen Witches. She is also in pre-production for the second season of the popular podcast Aimee Keeps It Creepy.

Rick La Fond is an Entertainment & Media Executive with more than 20 years of dynamic contributions across major multi-media markets, web based information system delivery, start up creation and management, creator video market and TV/Film Industry consistently delivering innovative, trend setting ideas, record setting revenue and results. He was successful at creating a comprehensive and detailed searchable actor database platform of over 1 million actors worldwide from a startup he launched and scaled, Now Casting, transforming the modern online information delivery systems for the entertainment industry. His experience in web based innovation has given him an in-depth understanding of the latest technologies and new media trends along with a unique blend of financial management expertise, innovative ideas and strong business development. After pioneering numerous revolutionary entertainment concepts and products, he has cultivated a long contact list of international A-list casting directors, high level entertainment industry relationships and partnerships by working closely with casting directors, agents, managers, studio executives, producers and actors. He also possesses strong social media ties with influencers and a deep understanding of social media promotion and traffic driving strategies through his most recent start up, Media Influencer which he recently sold. Rick’s academic preparation includes an M.B.A. in Entrepreneurial Marketing and Organizational Behavior, CASE WESTERN RESERVE and an M.F.A.in Acting from GOODMAN THEATER SCHOOL- DE PAUL UNIVERSITY.
